Empowering girls with the tools needed to become leaders

Today’s girls are tomorrow’s leaders. Girl Scouts prepares them for it.

Girl Scouts has been preparing girls to be leaders for over 100 years. In fact, you may recognize the names of some of our alumnae: Carrie Fisher, Mariah Carey, Lucille Ball, Lynda Carter, Martha Stewart, Katie Couric, Gloria Steinem, Venus Williams, Queen Latifah… Scouts will always find themselves in good company!

Fun with a purpose.

Girl Scouting provides girls aged K-12 a safe, inclusive environment for them to learn more about themselves, others, and the world. Not only will they explore topics like art, science, business, outdoorsmanship, and government, but they will also learn lessons in leadership, ethics, friendship, and charity through badges, workshops, camps, and service projects. Every activity is designed to not only give her memories to last a lifetime, but prepare her to become the leader she is meant to be.

Ready to be part of something big?

Girl Scouts is a worldwide movement. In our council alone we have over six thousand members! We’re part of a larger picture: with 2.5 million Girl Scouts in America, and over 10 million members of WAGGGS, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouting, there’s a world of opportunities just waiting to be discovered.

“Girl Scouting and Girl Guiding can be the magic thread that links the youth of the world together.”
