Twilight Camp
Grand Strand Twilight Camp

WHAT: Join your Girl Scout friends for 4 evenings of fun. Join us for a week of electrifying experiments, wild crafts, and games to get your brain going! Grab your goggles and lab coat – this is going to be a blast!The girls will receive a camp patch and t-shirt. Dinner is available for an additional fee.
WHO: All registered Girl Scouts in 5K through sixth grade during the 2025/2026 school year. Rising 1st to 3rd graders will be in groups, rising 4th to 5th graders, and rising 6th to 7th graders. (Girls currently in 7th grade or higher can participate in the program as a Program Aide if trained.)
WHEN: Required orientation drop-in, Sunday, June 22, 3:30 – 4:30 (to pick up a t-shirt and meet leaders); main camp Monday – Thursday, June 23 – 26, 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Thursday closing show ends later.) You may not drop off earlier than 5:15 p.m.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: Each camper is covered by Girl Scout Accident Insurance. There will be a certified First Aider at camp each night. Please indicate on the Health History form if your daughter has any disability, health issue, or food intolerance that can affect her time at camp.
**The registration deadline is May 5th. The fee will go up for late Registration on May 6th by an additional $10, the deadline is May 12th. Registration will be closed on May 12th. **The number of spaces available will depend on the number of adult volunteers assisting. Registrations will be accepted as long as spaces are available. Registration fees must accompany the registration form and health history for girls to be registered. The health history form is attached to the registration and must be completed by the deadline for your registration to be valid!
COST:
WITH DINNER - $80 per Girl Scout, a $5 charge will be added for those with dietary restrictions.
WITHOUT DINNER (Scout provides her own) - $60 per Girl Scout, $70 per late registration
Late Registration -
With Dinner- $90 per registration, a $5 charge will be added for those with dietary restrictions.
Without Dinner - $70 per registration
WHAT TO WEAR: Twilight Camp Shirt (will be provided); socks; closed-toe shoes (no sandals, Crocs, or croc-type shoes); shorts or jeans (no skirts without shorts/pants underneath). CAMP SHIRT AND CLOSED-TOED SHOES MUST BE WORN EACH NIGHT.
Keep in mind that any clothes your girl wears may come home wet or dirty! The camp fee covers the cost of 1 shirt, size AXL or smaller. If a shirt size A2XL or larger is needed, you will need to add $2 to the fee. Extra shirts may be ordered for $15 each.

This event is for Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, and Girl Scout adults.****** All Girl Scout registered adults can sign up for the Older Girl Ornament Workshop. You do not need girls with you to attend this event!

Join us in making a Wooden Door Hanger for the upcoming holidays! Enjoy spending time with your South Strand Girl Scout Sisters. We will have Pizza, drinks, and cookies for those painting.
We will also be collecting items for “Birthday in a Bag” for Backpack Buddies, to be donated to the children that won’t have the opportunity to have a birthday celebration themselves. We are asking each girl to bring a bag of the 7 items from the attached list below to be donated. All donations can be brought to the day of.
The deadline for registration is November 11th. Any late registrations are due November 15th and will incur a $10 late fee. If paying in cash or check, please bring it to the November Service Unit meeting or the Service Team meeting on November 18th from 6-7 pm.
Younger Girl Ornament Workshop
The South Strand Service Unit invites all Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts to the…“Take Action” Ornament Workshop, Thursday, December 5th, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Timberlake Baptist Church.
Join us in making cards for Meals on Wheels, ornaments, and cookies. You will have the opportunity to make an ornament for yourself and enjoy spending time with your Girl Scout sisters and having fun! There’s a rumor that Santa might even stop by for a Photo Op! We will also be collecting nonperishable food for Backpack Buddies. We ask all girls to bring 3 nonperishable items or $5 to the event.
**Please note: ****Ornaments will be done by Grade Level. Multi-grade level troops will be separated by grade level. **

Adults: $0 for Safety Wise Adults needed, $10 for each additional Adults.
Space is limited so don't wait. Girls will have priority over extra adults.
Suit up and get ready for a weekend of super fun and adventure at our "Incredibles"-themed Girl Scout Encampment! Whether you have the speed of Dash, the strength of Mr. Incredible, the flexibility of Elastigirl, the invisibility of Violet, or the frozen powers of Frozon, we have activities that will bring out the hero in you!
Each Troop will provide their own food. You will need Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner of Saturday. Breakfast on Sunday.

Cadettes Laser Tag
South Strand Cadettes have been targeted to join in the fun. We are going to the new Stars and Strikes at the mall for some fun laser tag. troops or individuals can register for this event. We are providing a snack for the girls while they are shooting the moving targets. Girls and leaders can register to shoot.

Older Girl How to Adult Day
Come join us for a How to Adult Day. Learn how to change a Tire, Check a car’s oil levels, Change a car’s Windshields Wipers, Jump Start a Car, Write a Check and Make a Budget, Make Food in a dorm, and Meal Planning.

Daisy Teddy Bear Tea Party
We are welcoming all Daisies to a Teddy Bear Tea Party! Girls can dress up and bring their favorite teddy bear to have tea, eat finger sandwiches, and have a photo op. Girls can bring a Tag-a-Long as long as they are 5 or 6 years old

Junior Horseback Riding
Calling all Juniors to join us on a Horseback Riding experience. Girls will earn the horseback riding badge at the event. On October 21st at Old Road Plantation there are 15 spots available. Spots will be given on a first come first served basis. Girls must wear boots or closed-toe shoes with a smooth sole and at least a half-inch heel (rain boots are okay), No dangling jewelry, long pants,

South Strand Storage Unit
We are asking for help from our troops in South Strand. We need help paying for our storage unit. The storage unit is used for keeping all the supplies for the activities we host in our area. This helps us keep the cost of events down by not having to buy new supplies every time.
The Monthly cost has gone up this year so we are asking each troop to give $14 per girl that is registered in the troop.
Trunk or Treat Candy
We are asking every Troop to donate $30 to buy candy for our trunk or treats to try and collect new girls for our area
South Strand Service Unit
We are asking for help from our troops in South Strand. We need help paying for our storage unit. The storage unit is used for keeping all the supplies for the activities we host in our area. This helps us keep the cost of events down by not having to buy new supplies every time.

Back to Girl Scouts Lock In
We are so excited to return for the 2023-2024 scouting year! We are kicking off the year with an All Ages Lockin. We will be at Socastee United Methodist Church. Arrival is at 6:30 pm on September 15th and our morning will be over at 9 am on September 16th. There will be games, skits, songs, crafts, and S'mores. To wind down the evening we will have a popcorn bar and a movie while we get ready to sleep the night away. The next morning we ask that you Bring Your Own Breakfast if you are eating at the church. The deadline to register is September 1st

Leader/Daughter Appreciation Dinner -Last service unit meeting
We are inviting all leaders to share a special dinner with just your daughter. At this event, your daughter doesn't have to share you with anyone else. The event will be on May 1st at 6:30 pm. It will be held at the Moose Lodge on 17 bus. 9673 Moose Rd, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576
The deadline to register is April 24th.
This event will cost $3 a person which will cover the food. We will have Chicken Strips and Mac and Cheese.

Go on a hieroglyphic treasure hunt, try to save a village from a volcanic explosion,
see what you will find in an archeology dig, and do other fun activities!
