Twilight Camp 2023!


WHAT: Join your Girl Scout friends for 4 evenings of fun. Come travel the Safari without ever leaveng camp! We’ll learn about some fun animals and where they live. It's sure to be a WIDE time. The girls will receive a camp patch and t-shirt. Dinner is available for an additional fee.

WHO: All registered Girl Scouts in 5K through sixth grade during the 2022/2023 school year. Rising 1st to 3rd graders will be in groups, rising 4th to 5th graders together, and rising 6th-7th graders together. (Girls currently in 7th or higher can participate as a Program Aide if trained.)

WHEN: Required orientation drop-in, Sunday, June 25th, 3:30 – 4:30 (to pick up a t-shirt and meet leaders); main camp Monday – Thursday, June 26 – 29, 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Thursday closing show ends later.) You may not drop off earlier than 5:15 p.m.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: Each camper is covered by Girl Scout Accident Insurance. There will be a certified First Aider at camp each night. Please indicate on Health History if your daughter has any disability or health issue that can affect her time at camp.

**Registration deadline is May 8th. The fee will go up for late Registration an additional $10, the deadline is May 15th. Registration will be closed on the 15th for girls, PA’s and Adults will have a little longer to get their forms in. **Girls will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of spaces available will depend on the number of adult volunteers assisting. Registrations will be accepted as long as spaces are available. Registration fees must accompany the registration form and health history in order for girls to be registered. The health history form is attached to this page and must be completed and sent to southstrandsu@gmail.com by the May 8th deadline for your registration to be valid!

COST:

  • Girl WITH DINNER - $80 per Girl Scout, $90 per late registration

  • Girl WITHOUT DINNER (Scout provides her own) - $60 per Girl Scout, $70 per late registration

  • PA’s and Adults WITH Dinner- $20

  • PA‘s and Adults WITHOUT Dinner- $0

WHAT TO WEAR: Twilight Camp Shirt (will be provided); socks; closed-toe shoes (no sandals or croc-type shoes); shorts or jeans (no skirts without shorts/pants underneath). **CAMP SHIRT AND CLOSED-TOED SHOES MUST BE WORN EACH NIGHT. **Keep in mind any clothes your girl wears may come home wet and dirty! The camp fee covers the cost of 1 shirt, size AXL or smaller. If a shirt size A2XL or larger is needed, you will need to add $2 to the fee. Extra shirts may be ordered for $15 each.

++NO registration accepted after May 15th.++ For credit or debit, submit payment here via Cheddar Up (a small service charge will apply). Checks made out to "SSSU" (South Strand Service Unit) may be mailed to camp director Susan Huggins (who may be contacted at 843-742-7398 or KD.GirlScout@gmail.com). Cash or check payments may also be given to Susan in person at the Dunkin Donuts in Socastee on May 9th between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
